Thumbs up 2004 overland, oil pan gasket change, cut pipe in half

couldn't get it to slip apart , after 7 hours of trying off and on, had a come along from my hitch to the mid section and straps holding the front cat/ manfold section to front axle and heated, cherry red with a torch! near transfer slip where it was clamped but couldn't get it to slip apart. i wonder how the dealer would do it? so i had to cut it off..[B] NOW i can change my friken god dam oil pan gasket!! lol pan wont budge! need to tap a thin putty knife all along gasket area to release. and box cut slit first. i cant believe this isn't covered under my warranty from the used dealer. and the blend doors are not covered. both which are bad when i bought. 'nice life if you dont weaken'
oilpan spelled this way in search. 2 words shows up nothing.

oil pan gasket $ 50.00 clams. new special lock washers for manifold to pipe and new bolts $23.00 Having head examined for being up for this new headache,...'Priceless'

Geez, I just changed my oil pan gasket and it ran me $23.00 at Pep Boys, Though I am in El Paso, TX. It also had a hard time coming loose, had to pry it off with a thin screwdriver from both sides at the same time. It was pretty straight forward because I have the 4.0. I dont have the headache of the cross over pipe. I guess Jeep figured they gave us I6 guys a break since we are lacking in power as compared to you V8 folks. But your trade off is the cross over pipe! go figure.

are you going to weld it back together or get another rear pipe section?

Good lord. You couldn't have just dropped the whole exhaust? I'm not 100% familiar with the 4.7 though.
