Default Intermittent Stalling - 2012 Grand Cherokee

Anyone else have a grand cherokee with intermittent stalling issues like this:

Stalls within 4-6 miles of initial start of the day in the morning
Ambient air temperature doesn't seem to matter
Only stalls when decelerating or at a stop
Restarts immediately without problem
Becoming more frequent (last fall was every third month, then 2 months... now twice last month)
No warning lights
No codes (according to the Jeep Dealership Service Dept)

So far, what has been done:

updated the PCM module software
topped off the transmission fluids
new spark plugs (it was due for new plugs anyways but my gut says this won't make a difference)

The car has 120,000 miles and otherwise is a great car that has been well maintained. It's my third grand cherokee but I haven't seen these symptoms before.

Just finished my second trip to the dealership service department with this problem and my j service advisor has asked me to simply monitor the problem and is sending me on my way.

I'm looking for similar experiences with your GC or thoughts to help me interpret the value of the list of possible repairs I'm sure to get from any mechanic that I take it to.

Thanks!

Katrina

Hello Katrina,

We're sorry to hear you've been having such a hard time with your Cherokee. Before you head back into the dealership, let us know. We can get this over to a Case Specialist who can work with you and the dealership toward a possible resolution.
