2002 Grand Cherokee blinkers not working.

I’ve recently inherited a 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo 4.0 L that has been sitting for 2 years. I changed the fuel pump, fuel filter, flushed the transmission, change the oil and bought a new battery. It starts up and runs fine but I have no blinkers and no low beams. The flashers do work. I bought a new multi-switch but that was not the problem. I need to dig a little deeper any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

First of all, that's a WJ, not a ZJ. The low beams could be a bad relay. The turn signals could be a bad flasher unit. The ones in that model have 3 separate logic circuits in them. 1 for left, one for right, and one for emergency flashers. It has 9 pins on it. It's mounted above the junction box under the dash on the top of it and right behind an aluminum steering column support. Easy to remove with channel-lock pliers, but a real bear to install unless you've got slim fingers. You can make it easier by dismounting the junction box and lowering it down, but I took one look at those big gang electrical plugs and thought better about disturbing all that circuitry. They both have 52 pins in them!

thanks Dave, I’m new to the Jeep world but not afraid or ashamed to get schooled. I’m learning more everyday. I have a 1999 Dodge Ram Van with 375,000 miles. I know that one like the back of my hand.. Thanks a lot for your help and the the info. 👍
