Default 2002 Gc limited(rear end noise)

I have a 2002 Jeep GC limited. Ther is a noise in the rear whenever I hit a bump? I just changed the shocks and sway bar link and it is still ther? I heard ther is a mount on top of the pumpkin that could be bad? I love this jeep and just want to get it 100% again. Any ideas?

have you tried to tighten the rear trac bar bolts? although if you hve never had it off and by the year of it, you may be in need of a new one. the trac bar keeps the rear end center of your vehicle, when they get play in them they clunk, at least they do on the front, have not had anything with a rear one before now.

The shocks that you replaced were they OEM or after market? Makes a big difference, I've been there. If they are after market you will need to install a couple of washers in the shock mount. There's a post here somewhere, thats where I got my info from, and it worked for me. All I had to do was install one washer on each shock mount.:

Did you ever find out what your problem was? I have the same problem on an 2003 GC Limited. Its a cluncking noise from the rear right when I hit bumps at slow speeds
