What engine? What oil filter are you running?

I have a 4.0 in an XJ and it fluctuates when stopping and starting, that is normal. It doesn't go down to zero though. I ran an orange Fram when I first got it ran like absolute crap with oil pressure really dropping. Google orange can of death. I experienced first hand. Changed it out, all was good.

Could be a possible oil pressure sending unit. I would suggest a mechanical gauge to check your true oil pressure though.

Start buy putting a mechanical gauge on there to see what your oil pressure really is. The dash gauge isn't always accurate.
