It runs then all the sudden dies can anyone tell me what might be going on

sounds like it might be fuel related. is the alarm cutting the fuel off? fuel pump failure? clogged fuel filter?

How long does it run before it shuts off? Will it restart immediately, or only after sitting for about 10-20 minutes? Has anything been done to the engine recently? What engine do you have? Answer these questions and we can probably pinpoint the problem.
