Default 2001 Grand Cherokee WJ 4.0: Fuel rail, fuel injectors, quick disconnect

2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee WJ 4.0L 4WD, Mileage=179.9K

Just replaced the fuel rail, the fuel injectors, and the fuel rail’s fuel supply line quick disconnect retaining clip.
Here are the repair notes including OEM and replacement part#s.

Fix #1: Replaced OEM fuel rail, rusted (then broken)
- Symptom: Fuel rail leak at fuel rail nipple into fuel line quick disconnect.
- Cause: Nipple rusted inside of quick disconnect at the outermost plastic guide/collar, rusted nipple snapped off when removed
- Repair:
- 1) Purchased new fuel rail.
- Replacement part#: Mopar 5014496AC

Fix #2: Replaced all 6 OEM fuel injectors
- Symptom: occasional long cranks to start, rough idle, poor hill climbing power
- Cause: most of the OEM injectors top screens were partially clogged, 4 of 6 injectors had visible exterior shell cracks
- Repair:
- 1) Installed 6 new fuel injectors.
- Replacement part#s: Standard FJ454 (RockAuto, $30.90 per)
- Replaced OEM part #s: Siemens Deka 04854181

Fix #3: Fuel rail’s fuel supply line quick disconnect parts
- Replaced 1 @ Dorman 800-093, GM steel quick disc fuel line clip (3 pk, used 5/16 ID)
- Reinstalled 2 @ OEM Viton O-rings:
- to match the OEM o-rings, needed OD=.520-.500 & ID=5/16 & thickness=.125 (1/8)
- note that the thickness=1/8 is similar to fuel injector O-rings, not your typical 1/16 thick non-fuel o-ring
- Replacement attempts, no matches:
- Dorman 80000, pkg asmt , non-Viton: contained 1 close match at .520 width w/ 0.1 thickness and 5/16 id, but material was standard non-Viton (i.e.: not for fuel) so DID NOT use this one
- Dorman 800-013, 4 pk Viton: all widths too small, thicknesses to thin
- Dorman 90100 for fuel injectors, 30 count Viton: none will fit inside disconnect fitting, all widths too large, thicknesses to large
- OEM install order for all of the quick disconnect components = (rail to supply side) 1) steel retaining clip; 2) black plastic guide; 3) yellow o-ring; 4) steel washer #1; 5) black o-ring; 6) steel washer #2

01 JGC 4.0L: - Replacement fuel rail - Part#: Mopar 5014496AC

01 JGC 4.0L: - Replaced fuel injectors - Part #: Siemens Deka 04854181

01 JGC 4.0L: - OEM fuel rail supply line quick disconnect component install order - replaced steel retaining clip w/ Dorman 800-093 5/16

My opinion is you should have bought Bosch 4-hole injectors. Spray pattern is much finer resulting in a cleaner burn, instant throttle response off idle, and smoother acceleration. The Sieman's are junk anyway. Also, the fuel pressure surge damper on the fuel rail is unnecessary. All they do is leak after a while. Just my opinion, however.
