2000 gc 4.0 exhaust mounting ?

2000 gc 4.0 exhaust mounting ?
I recently bought this 2k gc 4.0 for 300 bucks with a rod hanging out the side of the engine. I put a reman in it and now have this thud knocking noise that I think is the exhaust hitting the right side of the transmission. The pipe has a bar coming off of it that looks like it should be in a mount or something but don't see anything for it and nothing looks like it's missing. Is there a bracket that comes off the tranny mount on these that is supposed to support the exhaust? First Jeep I've ever owned and haven't worked on that many to be familiar with them. Thanks for any and all help.
