1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee wants to stall
Good morning! My 1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee is acting like it is going to turn off when I slow down and/or stop. It feels like it is choking? I can also smell gas. Please tell me that it could be something simple??? This Jeep has had a new fuel pump installed, a new PCU installed, all new plugs/wires/battery, ETC in the last year. It is driving me crazy. Any help would be appreciated!
Thank you,
Rachel

Welcome to CF.
We need more info, like which engine you have, to give a good reply. A quick answer is it sounds like your Idle Air Control motor isn't working properly, preventing your engine from getting enough air when you let off of the gas pedal closing the throttle. The IAC motor allows a specific amount of air to bypass the throttle blades to prevent the engine from stalling in these conditions.
