Hi. I need some help with my 1995 grand cherokee jeep. I have to turn the key on and wait sometimes 5 min. Then i hear a clicking/buzzing sound then the fuel pump spool up. I've replaced the fuel pump and relay because of this problem. Also the check engine light will not come on till after the clicking/buzzing sound. Once the ckenglt comes on the jeep will start. Its not the relay I've put three different relays in. I can jump the relay and make the fuel pump run.

Just one code 12 took the battery cable off when i changed the fuel pump

I'm thinking the PCM is about ready to crap out. Probably bad capacitors because it's taking so long to come alive. I posted with a guy in Hawaii that had the same problem and replacing the PCM solved it. JMO.

Ok thanks i will try that. It makes sense. I suspected that it was something like that i will let you know.

have you found a fix for this yet? I've been fighting with the same problem on my 95 xj for a few weeks now and it's getting to be a pain. My jeep is doing the exact same thing as yours, even down to the ticking/buzzing after about a minute, and then fires right up. If the PCM change does it for you, I'll do the same. Let me know.
