Default 1995 Jeep G Cherokee Service 4wd Service Switch flashing?

On the display above the shift lever I've had the "Service 4wd Switch" flash on occasionaly. The Jeep is full time four wheel drive. I'm guessing there is some type of adjustment that needs to be made which is why it is currently tripping the "4wd service switch" on the display. Anyone have any idea how to adjust this? To my knowledge the display should show all 4 wheels light up all the time.

I think the fix is to change the switch on the trans. I just pulled the wire off so it would stop the annoying noise. I think I can figure out when I put it 4Low

I have similar paroblem with my 95. Have you found a solution? Where is this switch? Is replacement available at parts stores or is it a dealer part?
Thanks. 3gg

Does anyone know what would cause the 4 wheels to flash off and on while driving down the road. No other messages appear other then perform service for oil.

Thanks,

Condor

You may try fixing the cold solder joints on the info center first. I am going to give it a shot this weekend.

Smile 4wd switch

I had 3 ongoing problems. 1. info center showed 4wd not working. 2. info center would default its day/date/ time setting. and, 3.speedometer would only work during warm weather. THE FIX: I replaced the speedo cluster and the info center unit with parts from a junker. Total $35 investment. ALL PROBLEMS MENTIONED ARE SOLVED!!!!!
