Default 1993 GC death wobble, suspension parts etc

I was recently told by an alignment shop that I would require 4 new ball joints and a new track bar in order for them to align properly. Different shop than my regular mechanics.

What are the symptoms of bad upper and lower ball joints? I just recently had a tie rod replaced on drivers side and they never mentioned anything about ball joints, just that the track bar was bad.
I definitely can't afford to replace 4 ball joints and a track bar through a shop.
How difficult a job is it replacing those items? (Any walkthroughs here?)
Is there a cheaper way? ie; purchasing bad part of the ball joint to replace and get them pressed? (not sure if that is even possible)

Also, if it isn't too hard of a job, where is the recommended place to order them?

Many thanks!

ball joints are not very hard your local parts store will most likey rent you a press and guide you a bit on it and no you cant rebuild them just get new ones as for the track bar it probably needs new bushings

Ditto to Biggoofy

4 ball joints should run in the vicinty of $120 +/- for 4. Most any reputable parts store should have them in stock as Chrysler used them on many models of car/jeeps/trucks.

Here is a walk through

http://www.madxj.com/MADXJ/technical...balljoints.htm

You may or may not require the adjustable type of ball joints but the procesure is the same.

jack up by the axle and lift/pul&wiggle the wheel and watch the BJ's If you can pull an axle you prob. can do BJ's check the trac bar=park and don't wiggle the steer whl leave it in an unloaded position? wiggle it and/or have someone wiggle the steer whl. while you watch it BJ's for my 93 run closer to $50 apiece
