i did a search and didnt find another issue like i am having so hope there is no other post.

1990 jeep cherokee inline 6 auto trans.

but my problem is my jeep will start right up but will stall after about 5 seconds after i release it from crank postition i have checked i have fuel pressure while in crank postion but as soon as key is in run postion there is no pressure the fuel pump shut off in that position i have replaced the ignition switch to no avail. been told it is not the CPS or it wouldnt start (dont no how true it is) but was told posably the oil sending unit (which again unsure how true) is what powers the fuel pump after start up. and i have been laid off from work for 1 and a half years so dont have the money to keep buying parts i also have a push button switch that was put on befor i purchased it it will turn over with that but then again the key is in run position so fuel pump dont get power. olny time fuel pump gets power is when cranking position
