07 Laredo towing capacity

Just purchased my first Jeep and want to put a hitch on to tow my boat or trailer. I have the V6 and want to know what the towing capacity is. I bought a hitch but its not like any other class 3 hitch I have seen so im not sure if its the right one.

Any help is appreciated!

Engine: 4.0 upgraded

look in your owners manual it will have everything listed for towing capacity and hitch class you need. also a tranny cooler is needed for towing. if you want your tranny to last that is

V6 for the 2007 towing capacity is around 3500 pounds. The older Inline 6 on the 93-2004 its around 5k pounds if you have cooling for the transmission
