03 grand trans question
Hey guys,
I've got a 03 WJ 4.0L with the 42re. The transmission seems to slip in first and O/D isnt far behind it. It drives but gets annoying not having power on the highway.
My question is does anyone have experience swapping the 42RE with the V8 545RFE? Will I need to change the v8 bellhousing with the 4.0 bellhousing? Or with nothing match up? I'd like the added strength of the 545rfe with the extra gear. Any help is greatly appreciated
