'01 Wont start after stalling...PLEASE HELP

I have a '01 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4.0L 6 cylinder inline. After stalling while driving and I could not get it to start again. I tried jumping it...didnt work. So i looked around and found that my battery is good, but my alternator wasn't working properly. So i replaced that. Still won't start.

After replacing the alternator, when i went to start the jeep, nothing happened...the starter didn't even click like it was turning over.

Stumped here...should i replace the starter...or is there something i am missing altogether???

Welcome to CF!

First thing to do is get the battery charged and load tested. Then check all your battery cables and clamps for good connections. If that's all good and you have power to the dash warning lights when you turn on the key, it should at least crank. If not, check to see if it will crank in neutral. Come back with the results and we'll go from there.
