I have a friend that is stuck with a no oil prressure reading. We have replaced the OP sender already and it has not changed anything. Put in a mechanical guage and the oil pressure is steady so we know it is not in the engine. Dash guage moves up when you start the engine but then falls to O. Could be wiring but that does not explain why it starts to move on start up! I was wondering if the Cherokee uses a stepper motor like the GM's. I know they can be a real pain in the ***** at times. Anybody got any ideas or a wiring diaghram that would help. thanks. Walt

There is a screen/filter in the oil pan area. I dont know exactly where. But that would cause oil pressure change.

the gauge cluster wiring is very finicky on these things. while running press on the gauge cluster with both hands. press it in and see if that makes the gauge move. its a weekly occurrence on mine no biggy. atleast you know the engine HAS OP!
