It will be interesting to see what happens here. My question was/is. With a thermostat stuck open, would not the engine still come up to operating temp, just as it would if there were none? I have not experienced coolant flowing too fast and not letting an engine heat up like you other folks have. I get that the engine won't run efficiently at a lower temp.

I have yet to get around to changing the thermostat out. As of now it's simply being run as is. I have run vehicles without one before but the jeep seems to be a whole different animal. I have noticed that the heat isn't as great in it now that the temperature is significantly lower than it was when I put it together. Still puts heat out, just not to the extent that my other jeeps do. They'll about cook you out lol. The 01, not so much. It's enough to keep you from freezing but leaves more to be desired.

It's simply where I'm at the point where I have to pick and choose what one to work on. Have two that need engines pulled and one the engine needs to be put back into. At the point have to try to rip the usable parts off my parts jeep and dispose of that one as I'll have my other jeep laying around after the engine is pulled...likely with a whole engine sitting in the back of it to scavenge parts off of. Lack of ambition to get to the parts jeep is slowing down the process...need a big shed I can store it all in. I'd like to not have to buy parts to keep my jeeps running lol
