Zombie Response WJ

Alright guys. Here we go again. Many of you have followed my XJ build (link in signature). I picked up my first non-XJ Jeep this week. I traded my 1997 Cadillac DeVille in at work for this 2002 Grand Cherokee Laredo with 140k. The WJ needs some work. It has a leak in the heater core, needs brakes, it's missing some things. All and all it's a solid Jeep. Considering I was only about $2000 deep in the Caddy, I'm sitting pretty good in the Jeep to begin.
I doubt the WJ build will be as extreme or over the top as my Zombie Response Jeep build. However I hope to do some budget friendly mods similar to what I did on the XJ. Stay tuned, the progress may be a little slow but there is lots of good reading on my other build to keep you occupied. Attachment 347445 |
This weekend I started digging into the WJ. I threw some brake pads on all 4 corners. Much needed. The wheels and lugs seemed like they haven't been removed in years. I had to beat the wheels off with a sledge.
I also changed the air box system. I will elaborate on another post once I get some pictures. I forgot to take before pics of the broken airbox. :brickwall: |
I'll be watching this one too.

Sorry for running CF's slowest build here. I have done some minor things, just forget to update. I added smoked headlights recently and today I painted the outer grille. I plan to do all the plastic the same color as soon as I get a nice day with low wind.
