One of the biggest and most exciting upgrades I’ve done to the XJ!
the old seats were worn out and needed some work. The seats were removed and torn down to the frame and all new foam was added. Then we added heaters and coolers to them. Then they were topped off with perforated leather.
The side bolsters really lock you in the seat.
These are the vents for the cooling fans.
Driver and passenger seat switches.

Clean looking jeep! Drawers look really nice as well.
I appreciate that man it’s been I fun project. I would do the drawers a bit differently but since a buddy made them I can’t complain.
In the last year I’ve noticed oil in the coolant more and more and I made the decision to put a new motor in it. This will completely transform the jeep and I’m really excited to see everything come together.
I am currently getting all the LS3 engine swap components together for my jeep. If anyone has any suggestions or information I would really appreciate it.
I am looking to keep the original dashboard so I’m wondering if anyone makes a harness to go from the stock 1991 dash to work with a LS3 computer? Or is there an aftermarket dash that looks semi stock that would work?
Next I am installing a GM4L60 transmission behind the LS3. Have you guys used or seen a clean shifter setup for the XJ?
I really appreciate that fella’s. This is the stage of the build I never knew was going to happen. Everything just lined up and now we are going to run with it. 400hp in this thing is going to be nuts and I cant wait to start it up. It’s all about the smiles per mile!

After a long build process I am happy to say the “the eagle has landed”!
Here is the build list from the engine builder. It was a junk yard motor to start off and unfortunately after tearing it down we found some damage. We ended up tearing it down completely and building it back up with mostly new components.
This is the new all aluminum 400HP 5.3 liter LS3 beast going into the XJ!
It shouldn’t be long now and I’ll be ripping past Raptors in my old **** box.
