Around that time I bought a d30 off craigslist to use for an axle build. Name: DSC_0002.jpg

the axle was in good condition came with everything including a heavy duty steering stabilizer from rustys. picked it up for 30$
I also bought an IRO hd tierod get ride of the flimsy stock one. This tie rod has taken a beating and is pretty solid and has a great price.

A little later I went to the all breeds show in pa with my dad we both brought our jeeps. Some how I managed not to take a picture of my xj next to his cj-2a but oh well. The show is pretty fun if any of you haven't check it out before. tons of jeeps dirty clean stock beater new and old all kinds. The show did manage to **** me off though they wouldn't let me take my jeep on the coarse which is what i payed for. They said since i was 18 I couldn't. Apparently some minor got his jeep stuck or some crap and that meant no more minors, my dad and i tried to fight it and they said my dad could drive it and i could sit shotty, my dad said its not my jeep its his and he put all the work into it. I asked them what happens when an adult breaks or gets stuck? they were not thrilled with that question.

After the show I meet two friends from the jeepforum Squazz and KevKaos59 to go to rausch creek. this was my first time up their, we stayed for the weekend and it was awesome!

I never got to build the axle i bought but i did learn how everything goes together by messing with it. I decided to drop the jeep off at a professionals for the gear install. I took my jeep to Delmarva offroad to get the 4.56 ring and pinion installed in my d30 and C8.25. The d30 also received a lock right locker, alloy usa seals, nitro chromo shafts, and 760 ujoints. The price was pretty good and he was a friendly guy to work with.
Took a while to get the jeep back but once I drove it those lower gears made quit the difference on 33s! both on and offroad. the gears and tire set up changed my speedo by about 5mph 45=40.

First trip to Rausch with the gears and locker was awesome! So much more traction and didn't have to brake as much crawling down hill. Name: DSC_0235.jpg

Only problem I had was the winch only trails but I think if I gave it more gas I would have been fine. Or maybe I should stay off them till i get a winch.. nah

also experienced a lot of body damage this trip Name: DSC_5566.jpg

One of the things im going to be redoing this summer is the paint. It was a cheap paint and is starting to fade and offroading has done a lot of damage to it and I want it to still look nice. Getting the dents out is gonna be rough!
What kind of paint did you use, house paint, spray paint etc?

I got it offline I'm pretty sure it was a urethane based paint. I sprayed it using a few different spray guns.

I built some rear bump stops not to long ago for a wheeling trip.
I cut some scrap angleiron we had laying around and welded them together to make about a 4" box. Then drilled a whole so I could bolt in some old bump stops and bolted the new bracket and bump stop right to the frame where the original ones where.

Made it across the rock creek no problem then even played around on the smaller rocks as I waited from a group to go by and as soon as I get off the rocks I rub against a tree and my freaking roof rack gets ripped off! It tore up part of my gutter mount, I was pissed! Squazz made out of that pretty good went home with a sucro roof rack. It getting torn off was kind of nice since I didn't really want it anymore but my gutter mount didnt have to get torn up to. anyone have a good fix for a slightly torn up gutter mount?

I definitely skipped a lot actually I know I did. I dont think I ever mentioned my JCR tcase skid. Its a beefy skid and a great price but the install sucks. I had to use my highlift to spread it out some so it would fit firmly over my frame rails. It uses these little jam nuts or whatever that they provide and those suck you drill a whole and then thread it in lightly to crush it inside then bolt the skid up it sucked im gonna change that soon.

last month i changed my exhaust to 2.5" mandrel bent pipe and a 2.5" flowmaster super 10 muffler. I love it and it sounds awesome!
I bought it all from www.performance-curve.com they have great prices and products. Install was a bit of a pain. I had to cut the tail pipe since it was a good amount longer and had to buy some adapters from salvos to correct the offset difference from the flowmaster. Im very pleased with the product sounds great and im not sure if its my imagination but throttle response seems better.

Now the jeep has preformed great hasn't let me down yet but Im just not happy with it in several areas so this summer a lot is going to be done. Engine is getting some little parts, new axle, tons of suspension stuff, some new fender flares, shocks, armor, and a paint job. I've been collecting parts for the past month or so and I also sold my Yamaha warrior 350 for some extra cash and space. School ends the 18th so hopefully the following Monday I will begin.
