Xj problem
I have a 2000 xj, I'm putting a motor out of a 96 xj in it. I know the 2000 had coil packs and the 96 had distributor, what do I need to do in this situation??
make a bracket or search how to use viper coils on it
Or swap the head from the 2000 on to the 96.
odds are the head was the problem
I was meaning how do I get power to the coil? Can I attach the plug from the 96 or what
You use all of the wiring and sensors from your 2000 model.
It's going to take a bit more wiring and swap out than you might think.
It might be easier to try to convert the 96 to coil pack completely. |
How would I swap it to a coil pack?? Can I just swap the ECU and wiring harness??

The 2000 model didn't have a motor when I got it so I got the 96 just for a donor vehicle. I don't have any engine parts for the 2000.
I'm thinking I'm just gonna remove the engine harness and computer from the 2000 and put the engine harness and computer out of the 96 in it
