Default XJ for my Wife and Daughter

I got this 2WD XJ from a friend for free. He wrecked it over 8 years ago and I finally had the title transferred this year. I'm planning to to convert over to a 4WD (just looking for the right parts). But currently me and my wife a breaking down the whole thing so we can repaint it them later spray on liner the whole body. Enjoy the progress...

Wow. I'm impressed. 4wd swaps are fun, I did mine ha. Go ahead and make the doors removable by cutting the hinges for your wife, she'll thank you.

Know what you need for the swap?

I like it! Just out of curiosity, and if you don't mind my asking... What did it cost to have the entire body lined?

Our original plans where to get it painted. This was a major headache. First, was finding someone that does full body paint. Then, I was getting quotes for $3500-4500, ridiculous! So I called Proliner in Tyler, Tx (granted I've known him for 15 years) and he quoted me $1500. I finished pulling the whole thing apart and two weeks later (today) picked it up. He did a full 1/8" coat on the body and all the parts, I made sure we went thin as possible where fitment mattered.

Future (soon) plans:
Dropped the 4.0L motor off today to have it put together. 8 months ago I had it bored .30 over. I found a set of Dana 44 GM 10 bolt axles to do the conversion to 4WD. I still have to get a transfer and I'm keeping the OEM automatic transmission. I'm searching for a used set of used Bushwacker fender flares and plan on spray inlining them black along with the roll cage, roof rack, and bumpers (Smittybuilt). I found a set of 315/70R17 BF Goodrich TA/KO tires for $600 (need rim for them). That's where I'm at so far but the list seems to grow.
