Default WJ the addiction continues

Long story short. This is the end result to trading my 99XJ, a 99WJ.
Quick rundown. Pervious owner swapped in a newer engine last season. Left most everything stock under the hood, has a deceant interior, some rust, new RC 4" long arm kit, and a slue of odd and end junk yard run type parts needed.
I will be running 33s on it with some trimming and bumpstopping.A tube frt bumper, and tank lift will top out this seasons mods. Along with said little junk yard runs.
What I've done so far is the basic trimming for frt bumper and clearance for tires. With the trimming a washer bottle from aZJ allows under hood relocation. Which forces the use of a cold air type intake( not fussy on them) hope I can get a prefilter for it. Also have to relocate horns to under hood.
Bad AC compressor, so a belt from a TJ ( non ac) worked great. Next I will be creating a bumper tie in system. Pics to follow.

Cool WJ, post tons of pics, need to see more of those WJ's getting built. If i'm not mistaken, the WJ is the last year that Jeep put solid front & rear axles in the Grands.... My next rig WJ.....

Good base to start on.

You are correct. So far I'm impressed with its chassis. We'll see how it wheels come April.

Got the frt completely trimmed today. We'll see how much more has to come out when I get a hi-lo to flex it out for me.
Cut and folded all inner pinch welds and low hangging seams. Now to seam seal and finish coat.
The recovery is going to be the base and mount for bumper. Plan is to use these f-250 loops. Combined with 1/4" plate on bottom of frame all the way back to sway bar mnts. And 1/4 " plate inside, between loop and frame. Basicly "sandwiching" the uni body between them. Giving a 10 point bolt location. Then run 1.5dom from plate to plate, replicating the dimensions of factory radiator guard. From this I'll build the bumper.
P.S. need grill/headlight support, if anyone localy has one. I am interested!!!

Project has hit a small wall( as they all do,lol) Head gasket or cracked head. So tube work will go to back burner.
Did get a chance to cut and fold rear quarter( found some body filler; previous accident???) Also trimmer rear lower bumper off, and LOL, zip tied grille back on. P.S. NEED header/ grille support.
Threw it on some rollers to get tires mounted while I do engine work.

I saw this guy on instagram kept tagging v6 with his xj pics and I just had to put him in his place.
