White Lightning (Again?)

Okay so maybe there has been another white lightning before I dunno but that's what I call my new "heep" as well cause I love the go fast + the mountain dew, and well ... it's white too. The story is sold my 88 wagoner 2 or 3 years ago and missed it like crazy so I looked for a good deal forever. Found a lightly wrecked one for 700 bones bought it me and a few friends band together pulled the core support back into shape tossed some cheap fenders on it and a loaded donor header panel, Fixed! My jeeps aren't built to cruise around town they are fixed for southern style mountain trails so I aint big on the look pretty...

We got bored so we built a Cowl induction for it. 3" pipe painted white (of course) ran to the cowl with a Airaid filter inside.

With some Christmas funds I was able to purchase a 4.5" Rough Country lift kit, a set of used 15x8 MT Classic wheels, a Pair of 33x12.50 Thornbirds cut to dig but bounce like basketballs on pavement, and a few other goodies. So this is where we are...

Next we have a bumper coming along with some Rigid lights flushed in it...

An eraser wheel

It's also called a pinstripe remover, it'll make short work of the glue and leave your paint intact.

Thanks man I'll check that out!

Eraser wheels are awesome!!! Grab the molding and pull it right off. The tape is really thick and will take some time and cover you in the eraser but it does come off fairly easy. Take your time an don't push the EW and you won't have too much waxing and buffing to do after you get done.

Thanks for all the info on the eraser wheel guys!

We started the bumper tonight. I got these brackets from a guy on eBay, hes from Canada is anyone know's who I'm talking about let everyone know who he is... Makes good products!

And here is the bumper. Decided im not going with a winch on this build so im hugging my bumper in tight and keeping it as slim as possible. Not much to look at right now but tomorrow I will drag out the plasma torch and get those brackets trimmed up then get the side pieces that will kick back under the fenders fabbed up.

Thanks man. I love the slimness of it. I'm going to make a matching rear one. I've went thru and trimmed my fenders up and some other stuff its about time for some new pictures.

So I got sick of Piddling around. We did an 8.8 Rear swap with 4.10 Gears and lock right locker inside. It got all Heavy Duty brackets from Trail Gear and a Heavy Duty diff cover from Blue Torch Fab, to top it all off. The jeep (as you all know) gained rear disc brakes from this swap and we also installed the proportioning valve from a Grand Cherokee with rear disc brakes.

Dropped the front end and it got all new Heavy Duty brackets, Iron Rock Off-road OTK Steering. Inside got a 4.10 Gear setup with a Lock right locker. Same as the rear the front got a Heavy Duty Blue Torch Fab cover to top it off. While in the process it got Spicer joints in the axles, lower and upper ball joints, Unit bearings. Both front and rear received new pads, rotors, and calipers.

Along with these axle upgrades and steering upgrades we felt we wanted more flex. As we dug into this I designed a 3/4" heim joint track bar that was constructed from 1.5" .25" wall DOM tubing. The track bar towers for frame side and axle side are from Ballistic fabrication. We then decided on the Iron Rock Off-road 3link setup. We added an Alloy USA SYE kit to the 203 transfer case and an Alloy USA HD chain while we had the Xmember's out swapping over to the IRO Xmember for the 3link. Since we wanted more flex the shocks had to go and I measured out for some Fox Racing Shocks that would give me plenty of down travel and still give me cushion on my up travel. We also added Extended braided brakes lines to ensure nothing was pulled to tight. We topped it off with Twisted Stitch limiting straps to keep from pulling on the shock at full droop.

As of now we plan to add RCV front shafts and Yukon Chromoly rear shafts with the Yukon C-clip eliminators. Soon will probably get a hybrid exo cage and def. some sliders and rear bumper.
