Yeah, but the only tire shop around here that does it that cheap is about a 30 minute drive from me. I had an easy time removing the 235/75's from a set of XJ wheels that I was using as spares, so I figured for just one tire, why worry about the trip up there... when I get my new tires, I'll be going to my guy though for sure (Soggy Bottom Wholesale Tires, for anyone wondering).
Yeah, I've seen plenty of JK wheels and tires on CL. Most of them are the the Gooyear Wrangler SRAs and the ones that are the BFG MT's are ridiculously overpriced (500+).... not what I'm looking for though. Thanks for lookin' out!

Starting prepping the used Flowmaster muffler I have for install on the XJ. Apparently, an XJ with no carpet and mud tires just isn't loud enough for me

Ran out of time to make the actual cuts to the bushings. Might try and finish that up tomorrow morning. We'll see how tired I am after work.

How does one go about getting their "tire guy" to use airsoft BBs...I have a feeling if I even mentioned the idea around here they'd try to lock me up in an insane asylum...lol

Soggy Bottom Tires is used to installing huge tires. He specializes in trucks, jeeps, lifts, etc, etc... so I'm sure BBs is no foreign concept to him. But hell, if he won't do it, I'll take the weights off when I get home, break the beads and fill the BBs in myself.... lol

Decided to go wheelin' after work today.... might not have been the absolute BEST decision considering how tire I am (and at work again tonight) but hey.... my sons DEFINITELY enjoyed it, so it's worth it
Nothin' major, just did some bombing through the forest roads and then a twisty-turny sugar sand trail. I kept waiting for us to do something real challenging, but we had such a large group going, we had to keep making stops before we got to the good stuff.... I had to bail and go home for some shuteye so I kinda missed out on it. Still got the Jeep good n dirty though (sorry, no pics right now).

The roof lights ended up coming in good handy on the really dusty parts. I looked in my rearview and could barely see the guy behind me. But I could see the guy behind HIM with his fog lights on, so I flipped mine on. First stop we made after that trail, the guys in front of me said "Those roof lights worked good.... we could hardly see where everyone was at behind us, then you flipped those on and we were like 'oh, there he is!'" 40 bucks well invested

New tires are mounted and 6 oz of BBs thrown in. Balances perfectly. Rides smooth as silk. Come to think of it, I don't think I've ever driven this jeep without wheel and tire vibrations. Unmounted and mounted the spare myself. It's nice to have a spare close to the same size as my tires for once. Gonna have to cut the front fenders a little more though. No big deal.
