That right there is a blown gasket. I'm honestly surprised it had that much compression. Do you think the PO overheated it or something?

Drove it on a 400 mile round trip to Ricketts Glen State Park

The drive went smoothly with no hiccup at all.

Finally had time to take the rear bumper off to install the hitch I got from Garrett, and to install the very last set of nutstrips I made.

Took the Jeep camping again over the weekend.

Did you type first in Quick Reply and then click Advanced to add the photo?
I find that is when it gives me problems.

I don't own a computer. I use the phone exclusively to do everything

On unrelated note, I ordered a rear ashtray delete kit for the center console. It will have 2 cut outs. One of them, I will install an USB outlet.

I also bought trans cooler and power window switch from a part out. My towing package is nearly completed.

I saw when wizardpc posted about that. That is pretty cool.
One of these days I have to order his bezel for the garage door opener part of the overhead console.

Yeah I gotta order that too; I already ran the wiring up to my OHC so it's ready for that.

I don't even have any lights for the factory fog light switches and pigtails I have been sourcing for it.
But I want it anyway. If I ever get my brush guard on add lighting to that and maybe one in back.
Even sourced a rear fog light switch hoping I could use the toggle on a regular fog light switch. Cause the symbol is different
They behave different so I am not sure if I can get it to work.

I want to run something by you.
So the orange wire on factory fog light pigtails is for the illumination of the symbol when the lights are on.
So you know how you have that extra headlight connector just hanging there on the driver's side when you do the headlight harness upgrade?
Well somebody asked if you could use it for something.
My dumb idea is to run all the orange wires into there, have to see if it still gets power, for illuminating the symbols with the headlights on.
Thing is if this works will only get the illumination when the headlights are on and not the parking lights only.
How dumb an idea is this? LOL

Should have been more clear. But yeah solder all 4 orange wires to one thicker wire and run that one wire to the unused headlight plug.
