Urban Assault Vehicle (VERY slow build)
 

Ive owned several Jeeps, but this is my first XJ. I will be building this slowly until I have better funds.

So far, I have replaced all fluids, redone the brakes, replaced the serpentine belt, removed the headliner, removed the fender flares, and cut and folded the front fenders. I will tackle the rear fenders sometime this week.

What I am going to do within the next year:

31-32" Duratrac's
New wheels
RE 3.5" Super Ride Lift
Front bumper
Rear bumper (maybe swing out too)
New audio with a stealth 10" sub
Black, white, gray, and dark gray digital camo paint

I will also be Raptor lining the interior and the wheel wells, since I never got to use it on my CJ.


Here is my CJ5 that I had to get rid of. She was a beast.
304, 3speed manual, 2.5" Skyjacker lift, 15x10 steel rims, 33x12.50x15" Duratrac's. Spray painted in my driveway. It turned out really good. I never did paint the replacement fenders though.

Since this will be a DD, and I only go trail riding 3-4 times a year, I am building this more for road and comfort. That is until the off-roading bug hits me hard, or I buy a Comanche to build as a DD. Then this might turn into a chuggy down the road.

Here is the lift I am going to get. Is there anything I need to add, such as disco's, SYE, etc?

LOL. I actually traded it for the XJ. I needed a kid friendly vehicle ASAP.

I do miss it, but I built it and I have those memories. I have come to the conclusion I need/want an MJ morre than any CJ, so that will be fixed up and be my daily driver. Thats when I will decide whats best for my UAV.

Negative sold... look for Jeep Ecco Rims.. thats what they are. Common, and cheap.

I guess my windows have been replaced or someone removed the factory tint. I am going to tint the windows anyways.

Got some time today to start on cutting and folding the rear fenders. I've finished cutting the drivers side. I cut too much off. I still have to screw them down. Passenger side is next.

And finished. I'll just have to put a piece of metal over the parts I cut to much off of, but no biggie.
