Ive been eyeing those tail lights since I bought my jeep too. There is an ebay seller who sells a bundle with those plus the dark grey side markers and front turn lenses.

At this point of the build, it was time to make the Jeep stand out a bit....and by a bit.. I mean.. Quite a bit.

We spent a week of spare time designing the decals and different layers, as well as some time photoshopping the XJ to see how everything would look prior to cutting all the decals. We believe it is important to have a plan and/or a rendering or concept prior to starting something like this. You wouldn't want to get halfway thru applying your work and realize something is wrong or looks out of place.

Once we were satisfied with what decals we were going to be putting on the vehicle on their placement, we started applying all the decals.

Our basset hound says hello!

The U.B.C.S. is a 5-layer design. The nice part of this design is that nothing overlaps. It is still considered only a 2-layer design. The U.B.C.S. Logo for the design was made in-house and is the most detailed replicant of the UBCS shield online.

The U.B.C.S. Delta Platoon 'steel plate' on the rear door is a two-layer design. We used a Brushed Aluminum Textured vinyl to simulate steel, and cut the letters out in stencil, overlaying the aluminum vinyl on a matte black shape to give it perspective.

This is as far as we got the first night. The main decals are applied, including the "Our Business is Life Itself..." Umbrella Corporation company slogan in a similar cursive font as the movies.

Haha the blue thing in the wheel-well is my trusty spray bottle. 1.5 Tablespoons of Baby Shampoo/Soap to 2-3 cups of water is the perfect ratio when applying decals. The mixture will allow you some time to slide the decal work exactly where you want it and press it into place. Without using a mixture of soapy water (baby shampoo specifically works best) you have no time to play with the vinyl, once you stick it on, its on hah.

Whoops, sorry about that. That's a new one for me, I try to pick up international terms when I can though...so I've learned something new haha.

I got the ladder from EADOffRoad.com - Great company, had no issues, I think total cost shipping and all was only like $220. As I said though, they are built-to-order and usually take about 3 weeks to arrive.

Thanks! - Will

Been a few days, got busy with work and family.

These are some fun pictures taken of the MIL-SPEC style stencil decals we came up with to run on the vehicle. We think the 55 MAX PSI decals on the standard black steel wheel is unique as well as the vehicle specs decal.

We have these available on eBay now. The vehicle specs and max psi type decals are cut to your vehicle and tire specifics to make them unique...we thought it was a fun idea.

I'll be following this post with some pictures of the XJ in 'finished' form. I'm sure we'll continue adding or changing things now and then, but for the most part we've just been having fun driving it around town.

This is a small town compared to where we lived previously. This is basically the only 'theme' vehicle we've seen in this town and we've received quite a lot of fun positive feedback and looks as we drive around hah.

Here are a few 'finished' pictures. I plan to take some this weekend at a few locations in another city. We're visiting the Discovery center and they have a lot of fun activities this weekend due to the holiday, so I'm hoping I can Talk my way into finding a few cool locations to take some pictures of it.

I also will be posting some pictures of it at the top of the zip line trail at Bikini Bottoms Offroad Park. We were invited to the Lenny Cooper concert that weekend and decided we would see how well it performed. It wasn't until we ran into a few... 'sketchy' situations and obstacles that we were informed by the Dozen of 4-wheelers and Side by Side people we ran into that usually nothing larger than Wrangler takes that trail lol.

I was very impressed with how the Rough Country lift kit and Dick Cepek tires all performed. We never got stuck, and after a few fun situations and at one point, tackling an obstacle that made us at a point of no return, we found ourselves at the end of the trail all the way across the other side of the offroad park haha. When we came out of the woods, the worker directing traffic just stared at us with a look I can only describe as "Where the f*ck did you guys come from in something that big?!" - We saw ONE Jeep YJ, but we think it came from the other direction from a different trail, and saw NOTHING as large or larger as our Cherokee. Only 4-wheelers and some fancy side by carts.

All in all, it was a really fun time though...arriving looking pretty, we left looking like we beat on the XJ pretty hard haha.

Here are a few of the pictures taken at Bikini Bottoms Off-Road Park. They were taken via cellphone at the top of the trail just past the zip line tower.

Though it was a LOT dirtier by the time we got the tank thru the trail to the other side, this was half way thru. We wanted to make sure people knew we took it out to play, that we didn't just build a trailer queen. This is a daily driven vehicle...whether to a trail ride or a fun night out, or to wal-mart for diapers haha.

Enjoy! - William

Oh... BTW: We lost the passenger antenna shortly after these pictures. A fallen tree....stuck between other nearby trees... didn't budge much once we came stomping thru haha. Being the only real casualty of the entire trail ride and trip...I was Very happy. At one point we almost lost the passenger mirror in order to squeeze between trees... but we wedged thru carefully.

I hope to post a picture or two in a few days of some vinyl panels we designed for the rear hatch. I'll have to remove the Jerry Can and clean it up a little first but I'll post pictures when we get done.
