Talking Two door XJ restore(in the driveway), lots of pics.

Its about time to start a new build, I have been lurking for a few years and appreciate all the knowledge shared on this site.

It is time to give back, and of course show off my work.
The plan is to make it my DD with 2-3 inches of lift and as fuel efficient as possible. This will in turn allow me to take my main rig off the road and make it a toy.

Here is me and my buddy on the way to get it.

And this is what I started with. A 90 two door with all the power options I could want. Paid 900 for the whole thing.

Naw, thats my buddys "angry driving" style. He holds his arms in that position and quickly glances at drivers in the other lane hoping to freak them out. (ususally works)

Here it is on new shoes. The 32's were rubbing so I threw my old set on there.

I drove it, 2/3rd are both shot, guess I need a new tranny...

Stripping, oddly enough the bolts on the rear shocks came right out.

A glimmer of hope shines through, but I then realize my doors are rusted through.

Looks like your body rail may be in need of some assistance as well...
