Got to love the snow wheelin!!! I had those DC-1's on my black 05 LJ.....loved the looks.....till i slid sideways on the rocks an tore the hell out of them. They seem to gouge up bad in the rocks. Either way..you rig looks killer....much cleaner than mine! You running the CA drop backets? Also...spend the money on an sye....tranny drops really suck! I plan to throw mine as hard as i can as soon as the sye kit gets here. Then comes the belly skid! yay!!!

Thanks for the comments tuffnutz. The dc-1s deffinitly gouge up very easy. Mine are actually pretty messed as well what thats alright.
Your right about a t-case drop..never plan on doing one. I already feel my clearance sucks the way it is let along with a t-case drop. And im not running drop brackets. Once again, they rob your clearance. |

Went on a local fundraising run called the Okanagan toy run.
Donations of toys, money and food are given to the less fortunate. Was a huge success as always, with an awesome turnout. I went with my buddies in the green tacoma on 33s, and the flat black 79 ford on 1 tons. There was a few feet of snow and my 35s aired down to 9psi performed flawlessly. I was able to stay on top of the snow and didnt get stuck at all. Basically all of the trucks met in town, we headed to the trail head (about 100ish trucks) and every body aired down and got ready. From there it was a choice of an easy trail, harder trail or the road. We went on the harder trail and got stuck behind a few guys open on 33s and it went a bit slow. There were some wicked holes and hill climbs through a fairly tight trail. After the trail, everyone headed to the top of a plateau that had a nice bowl to play around in. Here we had a door prize giveaway and a nice big fire, and watched everyone wreck their trucks. After hanging for a few hours the three of us headed out to a fresh trail so we could see how well our trucks performed breaking trail in the fresh powder. All in all it was a great day. Only one rollover (beautiful fj40 on 42's) but it came out bruised but still going strong. My only damage was a bent sway bar and half torn off bushwacker. Anyways enjoy the small sample of pics ive got posted up! (didn't get many wheelin as we werent getting out much (-18C) |
