They mount up close to the body on a 45* angle , You have to knotch the pinch rail 2 2 places for the main supports to tuck up into. They have zero loss of clearance that is one reason I bought them , the other is Terry is local, and the Price is great

i the family jeep, way to save some cash, all my stuff on my jeep is custom and used so its cheep anyhow. idk if u concider it piecing together, i also dont run shocks, mud truck only, she aint street leagle and im not paying for a tag/isurence/tire issues, so therfor it is not on the road so i dont think it needs shocks, it would be nice but mines a budget build
If you would have read the entire thread you would have realized I am piecing together my lift kit So far I have $375 into my RE Lift if you price out the RE lift with full leafs it is $750 I already have lower control arms so I don't need them. Shocks are a good thing to run, You'd be suprised on how much they will help your rig.

So if I do a piece together a lift, do I have to have shocks right away? Or can I wait a few weeks? An can i run 3.5" coils with out new short arms? or can I wait? ( Im always goin to have the short arms. Its going to be a snow crawler.) An right now its not my dd at the moment so I wont be drivin it a whole lot till its all ready. An at 3.5" do I need the extended brake lines or is that at 4"s? Thank you an verry nice build!! Lookin sick so far. Oh an I have a heavy bumper on the front with a 8000pound winch, overall wieght I about 280 pounds, should I add a spacer to the front coil to make up for that wieght so that it doesnt sag? Thank you again

You will want shocks right away,I have not installed my lift that I am piecing together yet Since I do not have shocks. I will be ordering my Shocks around February 15th and have the Lift installed by the end of February along with the sliders. I already have Short-arms on my XJ from the lift that the PO had installed so I am not buying new Lowers, You could run stock lowers but I wouldnt since they are weak and prone to bending very easily. I will be going Long-arm with the year so not buying new lower arms is saving me some money, As for the brake lines I always run extended lines it is just good practice and I wont have to worry about breaking a line. With a heavy bumper and winch you may want to run a 1" spacer up front or a taller coil.

Ok thank you, I think if im gonna piece togwther a lift ill just go straight to 4.5". Are the coils and leafs for a 4.5 alot more expensive? The changes that are required between the 3 & 4.5 is the 4.5 has to have add extended brake lines, different short arms, sye kit, lowerd tranicase, am I missin anything? Thats only like another only $200? Are shackles required for the 4"? If so does that mean the leafs are atcually 3" an 1.5" shackles? Thank you, sorry for all the ?'s.
The coils for a 4.5" will be about the same price, Most company's will do a 3"-3.5" Spring pack with a 1" Shackle for the rear. Flatter Springs Flex better and ride better, Along with the SYE you will need a Rear Drive-shaft. You'll need an Adjustable Tracbar Preferably Double shear. To do a 4.5" lift properly your looking at an extra $ 7-800 in parts, And once you get to 4.5" you should start looking at a Long Arm Upgrade which run $7-900

I spent 45 minutes on the phone with his discussing options, and if it will work with future modifications I have planned for my XJ.
