Time for a thread on my girlfriends XJ.
I talked my girlfriend into buying this '89 XJ a few months after i started dating her. 6 years later it is pretty much a beast and she wanted it to be this big. I have no pics of when it was stock but a couple throughout its life since we've had it.
The first mod i did to it for her was a 2" budget boost and 31" tires on stock rims. After that, we picked up a built up XJ with for parts that had a 6.5" lift on it with all sorts of other goodies. This was about 3 years ago.
Parts XJ....body was very rusty.
Tore the lift and flares off, put them on her '89. Picked up a almost new set of 33" kumhos.

Shortly after the 35"s went on it started overheating and had a head gasket problem or cracked head. Parked it until i got the jeep with the donor motor for it which was the black one pictured above. After i pulled the lift and flares off, i gave it to her parents to drive and took it back when i needed the engine.
Dual outlet headers!!!!
And tonight, i started tearing hers apart to change the motor. Put it on the smaller tires to make it a little easier to access.

Also ordered a Lock Right lunchbox locker to put in the rear Dana 44. The black jeep has a Dana 44 in it which will be going into the blue one as well.

It was a few days before christmas of '09. The roads were clear, but there was black ice on a road outside of our neighborhood where it went from 25mph to 45mph. She went to speed up and it fishtailed out of control. The ditch had slushy ice/snow beneath the snow cover which caught the drivers front tire and caused it to roll.
There wasnt a whole lot of damage luckily. These things are strong! The left front bushwacker was shattered and the fender bent up. Light bar and lights done for. The windshield got cracked and roof shifted maybe 1/4" over. I was worried about the roof, but when i put the new windsheild in, it lined up fine. The roof didnt cave in at all! It was still square.

pics from a couple wheeling trips we went on. she drove her xj both times while i had my xj. i had a spooled rear end and she was open front and rear and stayed right behind me the whole time on both trips.....she can work the skinny pedal...
The drivers front flare was patched together and put back on, but she tore it off right away on this Cliffs trip...
Thats me spotting her on the tires.
Dang tree kissed the mirror and dented the door along with the roof rail.
