this is what I hope to work toward...I saw this xj at a jeep show here in Ohio. 3" rough country and some really cool bushwacker fender flares.

Looks good. Since you have so many miles on your Cherokee I'm assuming you have another vehicle to drive so you can mess with your Jeep more for fun. You've joined a nice site as there are many knowledgable and helpful people here. Welcome to the site!

Went shopping yesterday at 4wheel drive hardware...I live close enough to go get stuff.
RE 3.5"
JKS quick disconnects
Bushwacker flares
(didn't have enough $$ to get the flares...my lovely wife stepped up and said " get them...the deal is too good") She's all mine Boys...a real keeper
They are having an up to 20% off sale this weekend and with the additional $50.00 mail in rebate with bushwacker...it comes out to about $310.00 on the flares.
Scheduled to start next Saturday...man am I excited.

Been under the xj with big can of liquid wrench soaking all nuts and bolts getting ready for Saturday.
While poking around I decided I would oil up any rust...found some on the bottom of the doors and soaked them down.

If all goes as planned this will be the last time this kit rides inside the XJ...wish me luck. Tomorrow I hope to post the install pics.
