Can't go this weekend, in fact most weekends for the next few months are tied up. We are building a vacation home and we are building it ourselves so we will be pretty busy for a few months. Dang it. BUT, if there is a group going on one of the weekends we take off then I'd be thrilled to join everyone.

Me too Chex_mex, me too. It's going to be a while before he has time to build those custom bumpers for me, thats why we went with the temporary fix for now. He's put a lot of time and money in this build for me so far, I really LOVE my XJ. It's my daily driver

 

Ahh I see. Who doesn't love building their own home tho? Not many ppl can say they built their own house

 

so how'd that rear wiper motor work out for ya?

What's been up? Hows the Jeep? I may go fishing tomorrow at San Luis Pass if you and your hubby are interesed?

 

Jeep was still overheating this week, put a new radiator cap on it and it seems to have fixed that. We hope. The air conditioner compressor keeps freezing over. Other than that it's wonderful, I LOVE it. Appreciate the invite to go fishing but we will be in Carmine next weekend.

 

yeah these things always have overheating issues unless you stay on top of it, i've already put a flow-cooler water pump, 3 row all aluminum radiator, 185 t-stat, and a fan override switch. still thinkin bout puttin in an electric fan in place of the clutch fan as well. but at least we have the newer style cooling system (vs the pressure over flow bottle, since they always end up cracking)

 

I would love to come along with you guys some time. Im usually back and forth between college station an matagorda all the time. My Mj is getting a big overhaul right now so wit will be down for a week or two though.

Also to th OP does your husband do side jobs I want some things for my MJ like some rock sliders and A Bed rack.
