The XJ is looking better and better. Nice work. What size tires were those, 32's 11.5 or 12.5? Is it hitting on just one side or both. Also is the coil hitting the sway bar.

On a side note.... Whats Up Chex_Mex!

The tires are 26575/16 We fixed the rubbing of the sway bar by adding 1.5" wheel spacers. That caused the tires to rub the wheel well, we had to trim the inside lower wheel wells. Now it looks and runs great.

Ok those are almost 32"s (31.6 X 10.4) still a big tire though. In the future if you up the tire size and lift you will want adjustable lower control arms. They will help push the axle forward to keep the tires from rubbing the inside lower wheel wells. Changing one or two things on an XJ seems to always effect 4 or 5 others. Glad its running good now.

I'm more excited about this 12 year old Jeep than I have ever been over any new car I've ever driven off the lot. Crazy, huh? I stare at it like a newborn baby.
Very nice find! Paint looks great still and I really like the blue.

WHY would you ever paint those bumper caps. That black can be dyed back so easily its not even funny. THEN when you scratch or flex it on something, it won't crack. It's too late now I guess.

I don't know anything about a dye, never heard of it. Too bad we didn't have a chance to talk beforehand, huh? Well, it's just a temporary fix anyway until my hubby can fab up some mean looking custom metal bumpers for me.
