99' XJ Limited on 35s
So back in August I was able to finally buy the Cherokee I wanted due to Financial Aid Refunds from college. A 1999 Jeep Cherokee Limited with leather interior, power everything, and sun roof.
Here is when I first got it:
And the floor in the driver's side (the only hole, but still!)
Shortly after, I bought a 2" BB with spacers and rear AAL, and this is how it sits currently minus the bumper:
It rides like CRAP feeling every bump in the road, death wobble, etc.
Now, it is that time of year again where Financial Aid Refunds come to place, and I am planning on fixing the suspension. Originally I wanted to get the IRO 4" LA kit, but then I won't have money for tires, bumper, sliders, and to fix my floor more importantly.
So this will be a semi slow build seeing as I need to decide which 3" lift to get, bumper, etc. Don't want to make a bad decision here.
More to come!

I have considered long arms, but the issue is the price with full rear springs. $1300 + shipping for the IRO 4" LA Kit. I would not have money left over for tires, SYE (have NP242), etc.
Thinking about a 3" or 4.5" SA kit from RC or Rustys?

With the IRO kit you do not need the sys right away. They have a good hack in tap set up too for around 200. I think you would be more pleased with it over the others. I currently run a RE 4.5 kit with short arms and will be spending more money for the IRO long arm upgrade this summer. Do it right the first time. Just my two cents.

This Saturday I plan to have my floor welded with the floor pan I bought from Quadratec, and also go to a junk yard and buy a carpet because I have none after slightly flooding the driver's side in Ocala.
So far I have ordered:
#784 Injectors from Programbo
Rampage H4 Housings
H4 Wiring Harness from LMCTruck.com # 36-3580 as seen in this thread:
https://www.cherokeeforum.com/f51/hd...rite-up-11306/
Dual XHD7714 HD Radio
And saw this RE 3.5" with free DT3000s and rear springs which fits perfectly with what I want and might order it:

So did I. I bought my Jeep towards the end of last year. I get 4k back at the end of Feb this year. I was planning on spending all of it on my XJ but in Nov I found out Im gonna be a father so now the woman thinks we need to buy baby stuff and put some away for just in case. Which makes sense except I think she'll nickle and dime it away.
I do get to spend my tax return on whatever I want though. So many things though. I need a new computer (with HDMI out), a new bed, new tv for the bedroom or living room and move that tv to the bedroom. Damn it!!! Never enough money for everything.

Personally I would wait and get a 4.5" lift. I have a 3 on mine and I liked it for a little while but now it just doesn't seem like enough. Then do a hack n tap to save a little cash or just a temp transfer case drop til you have more money for the SYE. Also keep an eye on Ebay and Treadwright for tires. You can get a heck of a deal from either of those two to save you a handful of pennies.

that RE kit is gonna get you about 4.25" of actual lift. the RE 4.5" kit settles around 5 1/2"....
with a 3" RE lift n trimmed fenders you can stuff 33's with no rubbing
with 4.5" you can stuff 35's...up to you...
plan on an SYE either way, TC drops eat through motor mounts

Well, just got off the phone with Jake from 4X4 Group Buy and ordered the Rubicon Express 3.5" Super Ride with rear springs and Bilsteins all around! Can't wait to receive it.
