the salvage title has caught up to me. this was hidden by the stock bumper. I'm really hoping this won't effect putting the new one on...

Nice build, I had some damage on the front rail on my XJ also on the passenger side from my car accident I was in it had buckled the rail a little and made installing some of the brackets for my bumper a pita i had to use a 4ft long prybar to get everything strait to line up .

that would have been a good idea. we ended up using a block of wood and a B.F.H. and we shaved a little bit of it with a dremel.

as you can see, i was only able to get 5 of the six bolts in. this was because of the damaged frame. the 2 that didn't go in (one per side) were the smallest of the bolts. i feel pretty confident ill be okay with 5 per side.

I'm very pleased with this

* five grade8 bolts per side will be plenty strong

How hard was it. Mine is bent pretty bad on that same bumper horn. I ordered a JCR bumper bracket, hoping that it will help me straighten everything out.

it wasn't terrible. I just held a block of wood on it and my dad hit it with a BFH. it only took a few hits. yours is a little worse than mine but I'm sure you'll be good.
