So I cut the firewall a little bit to get another couple of inches of set back. This should put the axle center line just under the front of the oil pan , slightly behind the first set of oil pan bolts.

We'll it's only more work.

So I decided to start to remove the floor pans and redo the floor. I need I was going to have to notch it anyway for the upper links, just sucks a little because I just replaced the passenger one last Xmas.

I decided to leave the trans tunnel in for the time being more for reference than anything else. I'm having a little trouble in getting the upper cage bars in, my tube notcher doesn't do offsets as I need to have the outside one with a funky offset for the best headroom.

I was able to get the passenger side close by shimming the cutter head just need to get some different bolts to shim the tube holder so I can do the opposite side (I just needed to mirror the pass. side)

Keep up the great work!! It looks even more awesome in person. I just wanted to say thanks again for the great price on the bumper and winch. Also I subscribed because I can't wait to see it done!

Got a new Plasma cutter so I started to make some tie-ins for the frame to my 2x6 rockers and also to mount the cage to.

The cage is starting to take shape.

I wish I new what I was doing. I feel pretty confident in how it's going,I believe it'll be able to hold up to normal off roading mishaps, flops and such just not sure about barrel rolls at 100+. More work to do tomorrow.

Didn't get much done yesterday as I had a bout of builders block kind of like writers block but worse. It looks like I'll have to ditch the centered rear passenger seat idea. I was going to have a race style seat in the rear also but will now put some kind of folding seat the just in case it's needed.
Got a little work done today.

Not sure how I want to finish the rear part of the cage to have it all tie into the chassis. I think I think I'll mockup for the rear axle and get a feel for how the rear suspension will come out. Need to get the upper & lower arm mount locations figured out, also placement of the upper shock mounts.

So it's been awhile since I have posted progress on the build. I have been working some side jobs to pay for this project. I had these dropped off yesterday.

Ford Dana 60 and a ford 10.5 .

I had to slide it under there to see how it'll look, man is it big. I just ordered some more link parts from RuffStuff, gotta like the 22% discount they have running right now. I have another side job this weekend so won't get much done but next weekend looks like I'll have free. Anyone want to stop by and help me figure out my link setup?

Starting on the front Dana 60. Cut the original mounts off.

Got it all ground down and ready for the new mounts.

I have to finish up a new pair of stands for the rear axle in the morning and then get the rear apart.

Got the new stands done.

Started to work on the rear then saw the this.

Had a tube spin, luckily they sent a spare which was straight.

Checked UPS and the rest of my brackets and axle truss should be here tomorrow from RuffStuff.

Thank you, I'm learning as I go. I've always been an engine guy and didn't have to much fabrication work. I just wish I'd acquired more shop equipment over the years. Now I have to play with the 4link calculator some more.

Ran some numbers on the 4-link calculator and I think this is where I shoot 2.
