Exclamation The S.A.T.D. build

ok this is my survival after the disaster build aka S.A.T.D.

Im building it because i want to be one of the few that when obama F**ks things up and we get invaded or if there is some sort of zombie/alien ( or even worse zombie aliens) apocolypse happens ill be ready. So i went through my checklist after watching the AMC feature "The Walking Dead".

So already i have shelter, a ton of MRE's and canned food, water, guns and weapons (ar15 'with a bayonett and extended mags', 30-06 remington hunting rifle, two 9mm glocks "g18 and g20", a colt 45 "law enforcement edition", a benelli 12 gauge semi auto no stock shotgun, three flash bangs, 6 propane tanks, and enough dynamite to blow up almost anything) more ammo than the guns can handle, a couple generators, gun cleaning supplie, plenty of toliet paper, wood and metal, and alot of cigars and cigs (with humidifier haha).

so then it hit me, I have no transportation besides a lil 2.2l s10. So i sold the s10 and got a 2001 jeep cherokee xj.

sidenote----- my dads in law enforcement if you havent guess yet. and im in the Army reserve.

Ok so now you know the background of my lil adventure, and now i need your help. Thing i want to do include

Lift
tires
roof rack
bumpers (front need winch)
built in generator
and snorkle

So lets start at the top, i need a complete lift kit. 4-5 niches all together. What one should i get and where is the cheapest way to buy it.

Also pm if you have anything stocked up yourself, i think its amusing to see how many people have a safety stash.

yeah that kits fine depending on what you plan to do with it
i would get the full rear leaf packs not just the AAL (add a leaf)

if you plan on doing alot of offroading you might want to spring for the long arm kit but like i said it depends on your budget and what you plan on doing alot of people here are making there long arms

Thats a good kit but never get add-a-leafs, get the full pack. After a while the rear will start to sag(not sexy). Also when buying a kit 3.5 inches+, you might have to start looking into sye or t/c drop, to avoid drive line vibes.

tc drop= transfer case drop.. lowers t-case to correct driveline angles

sye= slip yolk eliminator....changes design of rear shaft to allow the increased drive shaft angle

yes the sell kits and gearing depends on tire size...31s you are fine 33s you should change gears to 4:10 or so

4.5" lift your probably only run 33" tires the stock 3.55 gear should be fine and yes there is a kit rough country has one for the np231 for the np242 you have to get the hack-n-tap kit for the SYE
