I also just stumbled upon this thread....and I have to say, it's truly the most amazing one I've seen yet. I'd love to have the time, resources and TALENT that you have to do this to my XJ. That is one mean machine my friend. I got it page 12...I'll get the rest tomorrow probably!

Thanks guys....
I could look into making some of those cage brackets.....
Roto Pax is fine, the hatch is plenty strong & I use a backer plate to spread
the load as well......The newer 'metal' hatches are very thin metal, compared
to the fiberglass.....I'll get those worked out.
Alrighty.....After 'A LOT' of thought.......I'm considering SELLING the Felony.
I have no price in mind yet.....
I feel I'll need to button up a couple areas prior......
This is not really a street Jeep, shouldn't be considered a daily driver......
Comes with trail rash......(but who cares, it's kool!)
I have no time any longer......
It just sits with sad puppy eyes......
Might be available in a couple weeks if time permits.....
Not happy about it, reality sucks, even if it was completed I'd have little to no time to break it, I'm thinking it's time for some one else to take it to the next level and enjoy it.

Would be a bummer to not see this move forward. Could you at least take a few minutes in the sun and give us a full photoshoot of the project where it's at now. There are so few photos of the project in its entirety, that its hard to appreciate the full magnitude of what has gone into it.

did the mount hold up pretty good even with the hatch being as weak as it is?
