I dont have much experience with roll cages but aren't those something you sort of have to build inside the jeep? It seems like they wouldn't be able to come out very well without a sawzall

If I was to do a cage again, I'd buy the RockHard cage and build to it, the 1k with shipping seems exspensive, but in my eye's money well spent. Outside of that, for customers I'd be willing to offer as a custom build, in house at the shop.........Only AFTER I inspected the floors. (mine ended up being replaced inorder to support the cage properly)....

Rage......in the cage....
So roll cages are in alot of Cherokee's now a days, I'm going to hit on some high lights of mine and try not to over do it.........
The first thing I wanted to engineer, before any tube was even cut.....was entry room and knee room........I mean without knee room, forget about this ever happening.................
With that in mind, instead of the A pillar tube going 'around' the dash, or thru the dash, I used bar stock and went along side the dash, similiar to what Poison Spider offered for their TJ cages, material is 1/4" thick.....

The 1/4" material allows the door to shut normally, with the door shut, the steel is sandwiched between the dash and the door
Finished:

I'm gonna be honest, this is possibly the coolest, most intuitive XJ I've seen in a while.
Maybe it's just the round sealed beams that turn me on... I have yet to unleash my WilliesCherokee.

Those are front stablizer shock bolts I had laying around, reduced in length, pressed into the steel & welded to the brackets.......
You can use these, if you wish: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/SO-CA...Q5fAccessories
I'm sure they'ed work fine.........
On a side note, I have to give a shout out to Rough County's customer service.......it seems 1 of my 6.5" coils sits 3/4" higher than the other, I gave them a call, sent them some photo's........and long sory short, they're sending me a new replacement coil............NICE!
Keep in mind, these coils are new, unflexed, yet to be abuised.........Hats off to RC and their customer service!!

Let's see what happens, I'll let everyone know when the replacement shows up......having a single coil shipped makes me leary, but I think we'll be kool in the end.......keep in mind I'll be testing another companies parts which relate directly to the front end & suspension, I'd like to be able to offer reliable feedback to Hellwig Motorsports so other Cherokee owners benefit.
