Rey's XJ Build
Hi All
I finally gathered enough parts to lift my Jeep so i thought I'd start a build thread
My Jeep I currently own is a 1992 4l I6 high output. As far as I know the suspension on this vehicle is bone stock, maybe even worse i suspect that the leaf springs are sagging.
heres a couple of pics when i first gotten my Jeep this in March 2010.

Update on Rey's build
At the end of 2010 rain season started and it started showing on the tires I had on there so I had to replace and I bought me a set of the following withe the Mag wheels.
tire size: 245/75/15
Mag wheel size: 15x8
these has got much better on and offroad, but it's almost time for bigger and some MT's

Update on Rey's build
So a bit of time has passed untill april 2012, in this time I imported my lift kit piece by piece and played around with the Jeep, I added the zombie apocalypse stickers, and the fiber glass vinyl stickers on the fenders which looks cool.
I also took the bottom lip out which runs underneath the front end of the car giving it a higher stance look. I'll give an before and after pic on this.
O ja, and I also installed an fire extuinger.

Update on Rey's build
Okay, now for the main reason for starting this thread... I finally got most of the parts need to lift my Jeep 5-6 inches. I won't be able to do trail for now but I can lift it
What I got at the moment:
RE Shocks + shock boots
Rough country upper and lower control arms ( adjustable )
Rough Country control arm drop brackets
Adustable trackbe( not sure which brand )
Drop pitman arm
extended shackles
trackbar relocation bracket
what I still need:
Extende brakelines
extended bump stops.
Quick Disco's
Theres a springworks workshop nearby my home that is going to do my springs and leaf springs, they are going to fit new coil springs upfront and re-set my rear leaf springs and add extra leafs, not sure how many.
Is there anything else I need to know before I tackle this task or do something differently? any comments even nasty would be greatful as this is all still a learning experience for me. I've done enough research to be confident to tacke this task but any help or suggestion would be greatly apprecieat
oh yes, I almost forgot I also got me a cool pitman arm puller.
Just a question on the last question is that pin supposed to go through that sleeve on the shock?
Thanks

Hi all, we'll my Jeep is in and should be due tommorow, the lift I'm installing is a 5.5inch short arm... I would like to know what length my brake line should be extended to?
Thanks

Got my XJ back
So I finally got my XJ back last night, and it looks darn good, but still needs lots of work, this weekend I'll install my adj. trackbar and drop pitman arm which will sort out my steering geometry and axle centre.
I didn't experience any DW but I didn't drive fast though as I got a terrible rear drive shaft vibration... thus needs to be sorted out as well.
Apologies for the bad pic as I took it last night, I'll take some better pics over the weekend
