Another small thing I did , was to try to slow down someone from stealing my marker lights . I have a friend with a cherokee that has these same smoked marker light , he went out one morning and his side markers were gone and you cant just order the side markers their a set front and side , I hate that **** !! RRRRR .
So in an attempt to slow them down, I ordered some sheet metal screws that had a torx button head . They take a T-10 H bit to install and remove , the H meaning it is hollow in the center so a regular T-10 wont work . And of cores they did not sent me sheet metal screws they sent 6-32 machine screws , " nothing is ever easy " But after looking at it, it looked like it may work , I took my tap and threaded the plastic insert and they seem to work just fine . 10 stainless screws 10.00 bucks with shipping.

Up next was the out side lights bought all Sylvania LEDS they cost alot more but I was hoping their a little more reliable then some of the cheaper ones , not that the sylvania leds are not made in china , I would bet their are .
I had found a Utube video were a guy recommended a Novita EP 27 flasher, it worked on his XJ, but would not work on mine . With 2 leds in the front and one in the rear the flasher would just humm . With 2 leds and 1 incandescent bulb it would hyper flash

I could have run a Load Resistor to Fix the LED Hyper Flasher problem , but it seem counter productive . The idea of going to leds was to have less draw on the battery , and those Resistors get very hot .

To my way of thinking a electronic flasher should have nothing to do with the load on the flasher , By hyper flashing it tells me it's not a true electronic flasher, so the hunt was on for the right flasher .

I tried one a friend had and it worked just fine , so I bought one on ebay wow it cost 55.00 not cheep part # 97283 made by truck-lite
Two red , six amber two marker and two clear leds was over 100.00

I went on an led mission for the exterior and whenever I would hit the brakes the running lights would come on with all leds. I never figured out why and ended up giving up on trying to go full led.

Hey SatirlcalHen , Mine seem to work fine , trying pulling the inside driver side panel out there is a junction plug for the rear lights, someone may have put a trailer adapter plug their , it may be backing feeding the lights . their are also some grounds under the panel, and another ground under the other panel on the passenger side , mite as well clean them up while your in their .

I have been trying to find a good way to mount my quick disconnects when wheeling this is what I came up with for now . I had these strap mounts laying around and used some Velcro to hold them up . we will see how it works, may end up using zip ties if it wont hold , they seem to hold fine tho .

I’ve already tried it with and without the trailer plug and it is wrong both ways. I’ve redone all the grounds I could find and I have gotten a different flasher relay and a lot of stuff. I just gave up on it.

Personally my tires rub the disconnects when disconnected and will rip them down even ziptied sometimes. I’m going to try to come up with a mount sometime for them.
