Default The Race Against Time Build

Alright guys. Still a pretty new member. I live on the coast of oregon (florence) and am working on my second xj build . I had a 1991 which i am working on selling since i dont have any need for it. Why race against time? Im trying to get it done by august 20th my 16th B-day! Picked this one up for 800$ and then had the head gasket, valves grinded and new water pump for 400$. So Starting 6/11/11 Let the race begin!
So my new jeep is a...
1994 jeep cherokee xj 4.0HO i6 Bone stock, brush guard type thingy upgrade, and new tires, to bad they gotta go.

My plan now is
-4.5in RC lift ( got it )
-D window wheels X5 ( got them
- A set of 33/12.5/15 tires (got em)
-Front winch bumper ( from vendor dont have it yet)
-Rear tire swing ( need to make/buy)
-roof rack ( gonna make it)

Stay tuned guys!! Pictures below.
Here she sits -

Front view-

Sorry for not posting in a long time went on Vacation to alaska
So heres some updates
-Today i traded my stock wheels and tires for a set of 32/11.5/15 tires!!! Wooo Brand new less then a 1k miles and gave the guy 200 bucks! Plus i have the les schwab warranty for them (he bought them there).

-Cleaned the inside, even the door jams...
-Found my Driver side door check pin thing, put a bolt through the hole for now

Its getting to be close only have till august 20th!!!
So heres some pictures of the tires! The rims are crap though

Future/upcoming plans
-get my wheels sandblasted, then prime and paint.
-Get the wheels and such done then get to sanding the jeep down and paint that!
-Painting the jeep a nice bright yellow color with all black exterior items (flares, bumper etc )
-Try to get a front winch bumper
-Try to get a rear tire swing bumper
-Get a roof rack built
I feel as if nobody is following

Pics-
Wheels are crap -

Tread is nice!

Today was full of jeep things!
Lets start from the beginning again-

Go to my grandpas friends house for the sand blaster
Sand blast my wheels
Go home grab tires/wheels
To schwabs so i can get the tires/wheel dismounted and mounted on my sandblasted wheels.
To the paint store to pick up some wheel paint I got hammerlite, works great!
Its a rust preventive/primer/paint! All in one and turned out great!
Back home to prep for paint!
1 wheels was different... (backspace) so back to schwabs to change em.
Go home, tape the wheels off and paint
Install and go wild!
I dont have any rub at all. So now i have some painted D window wheels with 32/11.5/15 wild country A/T.
Picture time!! -----
Look ma! No shoes!

This is what all my wheels look like, painted by yours truly

Close up!

Showin off

Paint job

Hey I'm going to be putting in some 4.5" coils soon (I have 2" coils and 2" spacers now) and I will also be replacing the lower control arms. Can you squeeze the 4.5" coils in after you take the lcas off without like disconnecting the trac bar and stuff.. So I don't have to get an allignment?

Hey man im not sure, but i would make sure to install your lower CA in first as i had to hook a come along up to the motor home to position my axle. I installed my coils first and boy that was a pain!!!

Oh yeah I've heard that getting the axle back in to position is a pita. Alright so lcas first and if I can't get the springs in then then I'll resort back to taking the trac bar off and getting an allignment

I like what you're doing..... keep it up.

It is young people like you that make me have a little hope for our country.

Why not build your front winch bumper.....?
