Ya I'm pretty spoiled with it here. I use the Auto Hobby Shop on base, it's $9 an hour to use the lift but it's worth it in my opinion.

Thanks, I appreciate it!

Well i had some time this past week and installed new Front Sway Bar bushings, new Adams Front Driveshaft, and installed some 4* shims in the rear to fix my pinion angle. All of my vibrations are finally gone and the Jeep is feeling pretty solid! Really happy with how the jeep is driving. No pictures but just giving you all a quick update.

Also, just took a 800 mile round trip for work in the Jeep and had zero issues, it was a good confidence run before the 6K Mile trip out west this fall.

Had some spare time today and fixed my rear wiper switch. My rear wiper would work only if I was pressing it to dispense cleaner/washer fluid. Turns out my switch had broken apart internally and wasn't allowing one of the contacts to complete the circuit. Found a good write up on JeepForum:

http://www.jeepforum.com/forum/f9/fi...-wiper-948791/

This fixed my issue hopefully it helps someone else as well!

Good information here but I have a different issue!

Switch repaired, no go.... so I replaced the switch with a brand new one! Still no go. Position one for simple rear wiping does not work. But depress to position two and I get water and wiping... uggggg.....

Any ideas? Should I check voltage to the rear wiper motor? Perhaps voltage to the wiper motor for position one?

Also in a 2000 XJ Cherokee what controls the rear wiper duration? Is there a module somewhere? or is it in the actual wiper motor?

Any help would be appreciated....

Honestly I do not know, I would think you would be getting enough power if you are able to run the washer fluid/wiper but not just the wiper itself. If I had to guess at it, I would think that it is all inside the wiper motor that controls the speed/wiping intervals for that wiper. Since it's a brand new switch I wouldn't think that it would be defective but you could pull the new apart to ensure the contacts are able to complete the circuit. If the switch all looks good, I would double check all wiring that leads to the motor for any defects, if all checks good...replace the motor.

Sorry I don't have more information on the system at this time. Keep me posted!

Well I'm trying to de-bunk some annoying drive-line vibrations. I have most them gone but I want them ALL gone, if that's possible. I'm still having a clunking noise when letting on and off the gas at speeds above 50MPH ish. Also having a vibration when decelerating at speeds at or above 50 MPH ish with zero pressure on the throttle. It is all very faint and really not that big of a deal (for now), it just annoys me. After working with Adam's Driveshaft and 5-Speed on here, I have come to the conclusion that it is not my driveshafts... So now I'm lost. Pinion angle is set correctly. Not sure if it could be something internal in my transfer case, chain slack maybe? Who the hell knows.

Adams did send me a good reference sheet, hope somebody can find this useful.

That is a good chart to have! I might just have to steal it from you and check my front shaft. Hopefully you get this thing figured out and let me know if I can help with anything else.

Nothing new to post, just trying to come up with a game plan for what is next.

Going to be doing ball joints and while I'm in there I might as well do axle U-Joints. Along with that I will be doing a V-8 ZJ tie rod and a new drag link. All of that should be really bring the front end to solid and reliable condition. I hate me shackle position so I'm going to be looking for the best option to fix/upgrade that. I am also going to be going to 4.10's, I don't plan on ever running anything bigger than 32" tires on this rig so I'm 95% sure 4:10's will will suffice.

So here's a short list of things that still need to be bought...

Suspension:
Moog Ball Joints
ZJ Tie Rod Upgrade
New Drag Link
Spicer Axle Shaft U-Joints (Front)
Extended Brake Lines (Front)
4.10's/Revolution Gear/Possible Tru-Trac up front

Engine/Other:
62mm Throttle Body
4-Hole Injectors
Cap/Rotor and Cables
New Starter (having intermittent issues/slow starting)
Fuel Pump
Coolant Flush/Water Pump after
Headliner Fabric
Storage System/Drawers in the back

And of course:
JCR DIY Front Winch Bumper
Undecided on rear bumper(with tire carrier)
Smittybilt Winch (probably smittybilt?)

Parts!!! Got my axle U-Joints in today and my ball joints. Probably going to be tackling this project in the morning. Hopefully all goes well, I've never done U-Joints before so hoping it goes good. Doesn't look too complicated as long as you take your time.

I had a friend of mine that does body work on the side paint my fender for me. It all came out pretty good! Apparently the fender has a little bit of bend to it that was not even noticeable until it was on the Jeep. It just creates a slight gap so I'm not too worried about it. Just happy to have a flare back on that side.

Sorry for the crappy picture quality...

Well, going to be pulling the trigger on a re-gear in two weeks. Going to be going with Revolution Gear 4.10's with some SOLID differential covers front and rear. I'm going to get 4.10's because I really don't ever plan on going over 32's with this thing. Also, this jeep will still a lot of road miles traveling to and from places over the U.S. so I think 4.10's are going to be a lot more highway friendly in the long run.

Also, I'm going to be having a Jeep shop here in town do the gear swap for me and they quoted me at 250$ per axle, which seems to be a pretty fair price after looking around.

I'm pretty sure that all of my vibrations are coming from my transfer case chain as well. I can grab my driveshaft at the rear yoke and there seems to be quite a bit of play in it. It is also starting to leak transfer case fluid from the seal at the rear yoke on the SYE. That could all be caused from slack in the chain.

Well, pulled the trigger on our RTT during the memorial day sale. Finally got around to putting it up this weekend. I'm going to be taking it down though due to the crappy stock roof rails. I knew I was going to have to get new ones but I figured I could at least set the thing up on these rails. Needless to say, I am very happy and can't wait to spend many many nights in this tent. Overall quality of the tent is very impressive, I don't have one complaint yet.

On a side note, I ordered my SOLID diff covers a week and a half ago. They took my money and I still don't have anything saying the order has shipped. I have been calling Spyntech for a week now with no reply. I have also sent a couple of e-mails. Getting kind of worried. I looked on their site and it still says that my order is "Pending Payment". But the money came out of my account almost 2 weeks ago.

Also, Jeep goes in for gears this weekend.
