These are Chinese knock-offs from EvilBay. That's probably part of the problem. They are marked as 703's though, which should be correct.
They fit in the fuel rail just fine but not in the intake manifold. I can't even put one in by itself, much less all of them, mounted on the fuel rail, they're just too big around.
I'm wondering if the o-ring gaskets are too thick. I think I'll try with the old gaskets and see if I can pop them in. All the old o-rings appear to be in good shape. Should have though of this yesterday before I put it back together.

I think you're right. I lubed them o-rings pretty well. I think smaller will be better but I'm heading out of town this week so no time. It'll be there when I get back.

Finally got some time off from work and the weather cooperated, so I was able to spend a little time with Nurple today.
I ordered a steering stabilizer and adjustable track bar from RC. I've developed an occasional wobble since the lift so I thought I'd start with a track bar and make sure everything is aligned as it should be. My steering stabilizer looks pretty rough so I figured it wouldn't hurt to replace it as well.

Pretty easy install. I was able to get the old bolts out without a lot of grief. It looks better if nothing else.

The passenger side bolt on the old track bar wouldn't break loose. Soaking overnight to see if it helps. I have my doubts. I broke two sockets on it before I quit though. Will try again tomorrow.
I picked up an XBull winch off Ebay. Yeah It's Chinese, but a 13,000 lb winch with synthetic rope and wireless remote controls for for $269 shipped was too much to resist. I'll find out soon enough if it's a decent deal or not.

Was running out of daylight so I knocked off before I could wire it and trim the grill so it fits better.

Finally had some time to finish a few projects with Nurple.
The track bar passenger side bolt was a pain but I finally managed to get it out. PB Blaster and impact wrench were the ticket.
What I found as I was laying there staring down the offending bolt was that ALL of the bolts on the adjustable collars on the drag link, tie rod, and track bar were really loose. After replacing the track bar, , putting the body and axle back into proper alignment, and properly tightening everything, I've had no more instances of death wobble. I've even tried hitting a pot holes with just one wheel to set it off, no dice. I'd say that it's fixed.
Old track bar vs new. Much heavier and adjustable.

Yea I have seen HF selling Badlands winches the 12,000# model for $399 unless you find the right week for a deal. That and they don't come with synthetic rope. Hopefully you get what you pay for on yours and by that I mean it gets you out of jam and not a worthless piece of junk. Not much is said about the HF ones as there are things you buy from there and then things you just don't. Not much that I have purchased from HF ever let me down but I'm not sure if I would buy there winch or not.

Nurple started making an odd metallic noise recently which I hadn't been able to run down. I also noticed a new vibration early this week which seemed to get worse daily. I was afraid that it was something serious.
On Thursday Nurple wouldn't start but I could hear the starter spinning. Crawled underneath and found that the top bolt on the starter was completely missing and the bottom bolt was loose enough that the started was barely hanging on. I tightened the bottom bolt enough to get started and get back home and parked Nurple until I had time to have a better look.
I picked up some replacement bolts and washers for the starter and was able to replace them this morning. I didn't really think that this would resolve the odd noise and vibration issues, so I pulled the inspection cover from over the flexplate. Three out of four bolts on the flexplate were loose enough that I was able to remove them by hand. Applied some Loctite, torqued them down, took a test drive and all is good again.
Damn, every now and them a man can catch a break!

Haven't posted in a while.
Nurple got a paint job (courtesy of the girlfriend) and looks pretty good now. Not something I would have done but all good. Leaky sunroof no longer leaks. Everything seems to be going as well as it can.
Went for a ride in the Apalachicola National Forest this weekend. Found a little mud to play in- nothing serious but fun just the same.
