Hey there! I was in the market for a winter beater since i cant drive my summer DD ( 1997 Trans am) in the winter obviously. I was open to basically anything until i went muddin' with my buddy in his bone stock cherokee and thats when i decided i needed to have some form of a jeep. So after about a month of searching i came up with a 2001 Cherokee sport with 195,9xx miles a 2" budget lift and 31"s that i thought were just massive at the time. it also came with a locker in the rear. It death wobbled only once on the way home, and its front swaybar was completely disconnected so i decided the best way to make a nicer jeep and fix the suspension issues was to put a lift kit on!
Here are the pictures from the ad
I went with a Zone 4.5 suspension lift. While waiting for that to come in i tackled the disgusting ruined, sticky, sandy, musty interior. I solved that by ripping the entire interior out, shampooing the seats and throwing out the carpet. I worked by body work magic on the rusty floors and got them ready for bedliner
Final finish of bedliner with rear seat back in
All seats back in
Before and after shampooing not perfect but atleast liveable
Budget boost on stock wheels/tires
Budget boost on 31"s moments before teardown

The lift went fairly simple and easy took me around a week of working on it a few hours every night after work. The only hitch i ran into was in the instructions they tell you to remove both driver & passenger LCAs at the same time. so i had one hell of a fight getting the new ones back in
Here are some pictures with it on 31x10.50 tires with the new lift
Obviously i needed new tires & wheels but im on a budget so i decided to refinish the stock wheels in a gunmetal grey.
And right after i finished that i found a deal on craigslist for a set of 5 new wheels with some decent backspacing and 32x11.50 mud terrain coopers for 285 so i picked those up and threw them on. Thankfully i did because there was very little room between the rear tires and the leafs. So here are some pictures as it sits right now ( rear fenders have since been rolled in)

FedEx Says the new track bar will be here today, so that will be next after work. Hopefully this will cure my DW Pictures to follow!
