They will do their part. Those welds are burned deep as well. The worse thing that will happen is my bumper will stretch into an oval shape or the bolts I used for the mounts will pull out of the mounting holes. The bolts are also upgraded to stronger ones. I really don't plan on putting it under that kinda stress though. But if so I am 100% confident that the setup will do just fine
I'm sure they're strong but when you YANK on a jeep it usually exerts around twice the weight of the vehicle. thats why when you buy recovery straps you dont by tow straps.

I'm sure you know your rig well, just saying use caution when recovering with those. We just had 2 wheelers die not far from me, hate seeing more go.

I'm not sayin your wrong, if they went through the bumper and welded on the back or even connected where it mounts it would be hella stronger but for my usage they should do fine. I'm not planning on wheeling in areas where they would have to be strong enough to say, drag it up off the side of a mtn some where. This jeep has to remain steetable cause its my dd and its my baby hauler so I won't be tempting any extreme stuck situations. Maybe a few mud holes at must. I understand your point and agree. I'm debating selling it actually so I can make a rougher one. This is a light duty bumper. I don't plan on pushing its limits

Still no internet!!! Gah never go with at&t they suck! Also I was thinkin about my bumper rings. And with the way they are welded the bumper mounts would give out first. My mounts are 3/16ths that have a 4 inch weld on both sides of each one.. That being thinner than my d rings I think they are the weaker point which means my whole bumper would snap off before the rings broke... Soooooo with that being said I'm gonna take it off and weld some triangle gussets for added support.. Still may just do a whole new one.

Still gotta fab a rear bumper and then I'm gonna make a rack that's my fab plans for now
