Default Project "XJ"

Ok here we go. A few weeks ago I located my dads old 1989 Limited XJ sitting on a farm located in Upstate New York. I knew the owner and they Knew my dad passed away and told me if i wanted it to come and take it So i did. I figured i would do to it what my dad always wanted to do and lift it up and turn it into a real cool toy So thats where i'm at now. I'll start posting pics of the progress of the build as i go along. I'm not going nuts with it and making it into some kind of monster truck, just 4.5" lift a good suspension and make it as reliable as i can to do some trail riding and medium 4 wheeling.
So here We goooooo......
The XJ finally back home.

Thanks BamaXJ
OK got some energy today and i had to burn it up so i cut out the rotted floor pan in the cargo area and made some repairs. Then i fabricated new floor pans , mig'd them in and sealed the seams. then sanded the rest of the floor where there was only surface rust and treated with rust inhibitor. floors DONE! I had a good day today.

Good looking build, While you have the trim out, suck all the dirt out of the rockers behind the wheel tubs and put some rust inhiditor down in there too.

The kit is made by Zone off road i bought it off e-bay. the kit normally comes with a long add a leaf but i was able to upgrade to full leafs when i asked. it ran me a extra 165.00 but i found on leaf on the driverside was cracked so they had to be replaced.
